Day 1: Arrive in Rome
Welcome to Italy! Your adventure starts here in Rome, the capital of Italy. After settling in your accommodation, get out and explore the city! There is so much to see in Rome.
Day 2: Cerro al Volturno
You have the morning free to relax or explore even more Rome before transferring to your guesthouse in the charming village of Cerro al Volturno, lost in between amazing nature. Tonight, enjoy a typical Italian dinner cooked by your host.
Day 3: Santa Croce mountain
After a relaxing breakfast, your guide will take you on the Santa Croce mountain for an easy hike. The views are incredible! You will have a nice pic nic en route and dinner in a nearby restaurant.
Day 4: San Vincenzo lake
Today you will spend the day at San Vincenzo lake. The activities you can do are endless. From hiking and kayaking to swimming and horseback riding, just choose what you feel like doing!
Day 5: Monte Marrone
Today is the most active day of your trip! You will hike the beautiful Monte Marrone that hosted the shelter of Charles Moulin. He was a famous French painter who fell in love with the area and therefore decided to leave Paris in early 1900 to leave almost completely alone in these beautiful mountains.
Day 6: Hike with donkeys
Today you will go on a short hike accompanied by donkeys. Here you walk slowly savoring the scents and sounds of nature. You will hike amongst old villages and stop at a local restaurant to enjoy the slow-food products and the traditional cuisine of Molise.
Day 7: Return back home
It is unfortunately time to leave this beautiful region and take your flight back home from Rome.

This destination is perfect if you need a short escape from your busy life and want to experience the true Italian way of life.
What food will be served?
A daily continental breakfast and a homemade dinner will be served at your accommodation the first night. Your host will prepare a delicious picnic lunch for your hike with homemade and local products. For the other dinners, you can decide with your guide where to eat.
What if I have dietary requirements?
We can cater for pretty much all diets (vegetarians, vegans, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, etc) but it’s a good idea to bring some of your favourite snacks with you. Please let us know your dietary requirements at least 1 month before your trip starts.
What will be the weather like?
Molise can be visited all year round. But it's more enjoyable during spring, summer and autumn.
Who will be walking with us?
You will be hiking with a local guide.
Do I need to bring money?
The accommodation and most of your meals are included within the price of the trip. You will only need money for a few meals and for additional drinks or if you want souvenirs.
What type of accommodation are you using?
You will stay in a guesthouse owned by a family. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself into the Italian culture!
What should I pack?
Once your trip is booked we will send you a gear list. The essential packing list is:
- Travel documents: passport/ID, travel insurance, flights tickets and photocopies of these documents
- Money: cash/credit card
- Personal medication
- Daypack (10L-20L is enough) and duffle bag/suitcase
- Comfortable and sturdy walking boots or trail shoes (already broken in)

- Toiletries/travel wipes
- Refillable water bottle (no disposable plastic bottles)
